'Old Timer'

I have walked past 100 dying men,
strolled through burning fires as women and children screamed.
Veered off a two story roof and fell through a wooden ladder,
only to share 17 stitches, a broken collar bone and three screws in my left ankle.

I've been there, done that.
Watched young him and her grow,
saw that old he cheated on young her.
Witnessed a fair share of miracles over the days.

I've loved two women during my span,
only to lose both to cancer,
but that’s not the worse.
I lost my only child to the hands of a drunken women.

She has pleaded for my forgiveness,
I told her, "what's done is done, god has forgiven you."
She seemed satisfied by my answer and left with a smile hinged on her guilty shoulders.
What kind of a god leaves a lonely sole to decay.

From there forth, many nights were spent contemplating about what to do.
Does god have a purpose for what he's done,
do I still have a purpose in life.
I mean if my lonely purpose wasn't to just reproduce the next generation of Ellis'.

It was thirteen years after my last immediate family member died,
three blocks from my door step, on 3rd Ave,
I, well I think I, forced myself into the street.
I'm not sure if he lived, that is, the little boy I mean, but I think I found my purpose.

At 81 years of age I rejoined the ones I loved.
I cannot tell you where, that would ruin the surprise,
but if I know one thing it is that life is worth living even if unhappy.
I never wanted to be a hero; I just wanted to sit on the sidelines as the game played on.

Prosecution

This is a writing experiment that I did, I wrote it with no intentions other than fun. Read what's below and see what I did.

the steal light fixture is chrome but why?
"Dad, I promised though, I will never tell"
I'm pretty sure i'm upside down
"She'll never know what you did to her, and I"
I'm having a hard time seeing,

blood runs ran dry from within as hearts beat
"I die"
from outside to inside it was his fault.

Okay weird yes, but cool, yes. Now go back and read the dialogue part first, then follow that with the non speech part. Go ahead.

Okay I wrote this as one piece not intenting to make this difference but as you can see the dialogue is the young girl speaking to her father and the narrative part is the after affect of what the man did to his daughter after she witnessed the murder of her mother some time ago. The father doesn't trust his daughter therefore he kills her. The difference is cool when reading it will the after action is taking place not after anymore but rather during, it is like she is begging him to stop.

Finally had the brain to post something again, I have all this material from the last 3 months but haven't had the will to type it. I guess that has to change sometime... Anyways below is my result of five random words typed into Google search and then filtered to edit out all the www. - com's and stuff. It has its highlights, my favorite part must be the last sentence. Turned out really good, but it did take a couple of try's to get some kind of content. Collaborative Sound Text

Sound txt is all finished, It was done today March 16th, and I dont know how to get it onto the computer off of my phone. I have a Blackberry but have no idea how to use it, and it's not like I just got the thing, i've had it for a decent amount of months. Anyways back to the sound txt, It’s a short piece maybe 3 minutes and features a variety of sounds from all over the internet. And eludes the listener, well hopefully, to a story that doesnt say whats happening but rather explains the journey they embark. The life or beginning of the song starts with a little pump, then something magical ass the man sees two eyes. After this it intensives the pump with a little old time Will Smith (Fresh Prince of Bel Air) for the climax, then says a life quote with the fat poet, then ventures through their enjoyment, for some kids 12, of their lives. After this they are walled by police and ambulance cars from the accident he endured.

             

            I had fun with this project; it was inventive and a bit inspirational. I would like to continue making sound poems, the sounds you may be lucky to hear, are not what they intended to be but to me what I explained above is the actual meaning, Disagree with me, I don’t care but if you try to prove me wrong I will listen.
